An animal that is shaped to move through water is streamlined. The sailfish is one of the most streamlined of all swimmers. Its long, slender body is packed with muscles, which help it to reach a speed of 109 kilometres an hour. This makes it even faster than the fastest land animal, the cheetah.
Sailfish take their name from the large fins on their back. The fins help them to dash through the sea.
